Timberlands & PF Olsen Networks

Step 1 - Complete relevant paperwork.
All radio users first need to ensure they get written authorisation for channels from the appropriate Forestry Manager.

Timberlands

  1. Complete R/T Owner section with contact information Narrow Band Radio Channel Application Form and check that Forest Access Permits are current.
  2. Contact Evan Rarere to discuss channel requirements and allocation.

Harvesting Contractors:

  1. Complete OTPP/VG Contractor Application Form (Pre-Approved) and contact ALCOM to arrange programming (Step 3 below)

Service Providers:

  1. Complete R/T Owner section Service Provider Application Form with contact information and check that Forest Access permits are current.
  2. Contact Keith Davenport to discuss channel requirements and allocation.

Step 2 - Send scanned forms to Radio HQ.

  1. Forms must be emailed to Radio HQ for ANI (Auto Number Identification) allocation.

Step 3 - Contact ALCOM to arrange narrow-banding.

  • Bring channel authorisation & ANI information to us.
  • Programming can be done at our workshop or we can organise to have a technician travel to a more convenient location as necessary.
  • Code plug set up for each model can take from 2-4 hours. Subsequent radios should take around 20-30 minutes.
  • Any radios which are not narrow-band compliant must be replaced See List of radios we have identified as non-compliant and some which need to be brought into ALCOM for programming).
  • Deadline - Must be completed by 1st January 2016.

Step 1 - Complete relevant paperwork.

  1. Contact Des Hamara to discuss channel requirements and allocation.

Step 2 - Contact ALCOM to arrange ANI numbers & narrow-banding.

  • Bring channel authorisation to us to organise ANI allocation & programming.
  • As per Step 3 above.
  • Deadline - Must be completed by 23rd November 2015.
