ALCOM Communication Services commenced operations in March 1987. The company was established by Messer's Comber and Coventry, both having had long careers in the Radio Communications and Electronics industry extending back nearly 30 years. The foundation of the business was therefore firmly based on their combined knowledge and experience.

The company has established strong links with the Forestry Industry and is the major radio communications company in the region specialising in this field. Its specialist knowledge in mobile and fixed radio communications and systems (voice and data) enable the company to provide a wide range of services to many organisations and service companies.

Mr Richard Knowles is now the sole owner of Alcom Communication Services with the retirement of Mr Alan Coventry in March 1997 and Jim Comber in October 2007, Henare Amohau, Clint Swain, Brenda Drysdale and Marcus McAsey, all very experienced staff, the company strives to offer best service, to continue to support, service and provide quality advice to its wide customer base.
